The Geography and Planning department offers membership in many professional and student organizations that help create connections and enable students to achieve in the workplace. They also provide fellowship and fun while learning more about geography and planning.

The department also offers study abroad programs in which students travel with their professors to countries such as Costa Rica and Ecuador to introduce students to mountain geography and glaciers, climate, and water resources through direct field experience.
